I want to buy a Tablet PC, but the cheapest thing out there $1000. Is the price of Tablet PCs expected to drop anytime soon? Also, I don't mean a tablet like the iPad, I am talking about something like a Lenovo thinkpad, HP tm2t, Dell xt2, or the Fujitsu lifebooks. And not Apple... Sorry I'm not quite a PC fanboy, but I just don't think Apple is so good.
Will anything like those be available for $500-750 by the end of the year?
Also, (because I know they will all come with windows 7 STARTER), does ubuntu, kubuntu, xubuntu support multitouch or even regular touch screens? Or does some other variation of the beloved open source Linux-based OS support it?
