Hello! I currently own a Genius MousePen i608. It has a 6x8 screen, 1024 pressure sensitivity. This is my 2nd tablet ((first being a Manhattan graphics tablet which I've heard good things about. I never tried it because I wasn't satisfied w/the screen being 4x3)).

I want to get a new tablet, preferably the Wacom bamboo pen and touch, but I don't know if this model of Wacom would support what I am looking for in a tablet, hopefully it will!

Here is what I have (the Genius): http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0314983

Here is the Wacom that I have my eye on ((I was originally going to get this one)): http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0318763

Also, here is the Wacom Bamboo Pen ((NOT touch)): http://microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0318766

What I'm looking for in a tablet is one that is durable and can stand constant wear and tear. I use my tablet almost everyday. It already has visible scratchs and I haven't owned this one for very long! Is that even normal?

I draw anime, people, sketches, and the like. Will the 5.8x3.6 screen satisfy my needs?

Directed towards the Wacom bamboo pen: 512 pressure sensitivity. Is that decent?

I'm not sure if I would use the touch system on the Bamboo pen and touch, but it has better sensitivity and seems like an upgrade from the Bamboo pen.

For the price of the bamboo pen and touch, is it worth it?

Now for the feedback on my Genius tablet.

My Genius tablet isn't bad, but I definetly have my complaints.
Such as the two buttons on the pen. UGH! They always get in the way when I'm drawing because I'll accidently click them.

Also, there are times when the pen will stop working properly. It will momentarily lose the pressure sensitivity. For example, I will be drawing a curved line. But my pen will rebel and draw a very light straight line. It will continue this for a portion of a minute.

Sometimes, my computer lags because I'm opening a program or the like, and drawing on Photoshop at the same time, the pen/pointer will momentarily stop and then suddenly draw a very thick black line over my work. Verrry laggy, but not often.

The pen nibs are questionable. Sometimes it sounds as if it's scratching the surface of the tablet. This is comparable to using a regular pencil. You know how sometimes you have to rotate the pencil because the portion of the lead you are using is scratching.

I could careless about having a mouse.

The large 8x6 screen is awesome, but I still zoom in for details which isn't anything to complain about. The hot keys rock on the tablet. Pressure sensitivity is pretty awesome. I like that I can store the pen in the tablet for easy access.

Price is awesome! I wish Wacom's larger screen tablets were a bit cheaper. I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Overall I like this tablet, and the price, but would like the Wacom because it's like the iPod of tablets ((in my opinion)).

Would the Wacom Bamboo Pen/and Touch suit me better?
