With all the new about the new Apple iPad I decided I really need something portable, but more functionable than a smart phone. Though the iPad looks sweet, it's expensive for what you get... and they keep all of it's capabilities locked up in an iPhone OS. I love the design, but that's a no go.
I love the idea of a slate, or tablet. Whatever the iPad is, I like it. I was wondering is there anything similar with at least Linux Ubuntu or Windows 7? I'd like a USB slot too!
What I need:
I need an option to get 3g and a sim card slot. This is what's keeping me from good netbooks and tablets; most only have bluetooth and wireless. MUST HAVE 3G SIM CARD SLOT.
I hope is has a touch screen.
Less than 3 pounds, smaller than 10.1 inch screen.
Cheaper than $600
The faster the better. But mainly I just need something as close as the iPad as possible (which may be a netbook) but with a real OS.
