And it will tell me based on my selections which computers match regardless of brand? Example: Say I put in that I want an Intel Core i5 processor, at least 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB HDD space, and a 15" or smaller screen. Then I want the website to be able to tell me which computers match these specs (I have more specs than this that I want, and I would like to have a range instead of exact numbers, i.e. 10"-15" screen) regardless of what brand it is (so I don't want like Dell's website, or Toshiba's). I was thinking maybe Best Buy or another computer retailer might have something like this, but if possible I'd like something on a larger scale so I can search beyond just that store's inventory. I'd like it to tell me all the possible matches based on what is on the market right now, and then I could go look for that model at different retailers. I know something like this has to exist, but I am not even sure how to search for it. I am tired of clicking on hundreds of computers at online retailers, just to find that something about the specs don't match. I also can't afford to have a computer custom built. I am REALLY looking for something like HP's tablet touch-screen notebook, but I refuse to have an AMD processor because when I have had them in the past it feels like my computer may catch flame at any moment. While we are on the subject of computer purchasing, does anyone know how difficult/expensive it would be to buy one of those tablet PCs I was talking about, and replace the AMD processor with a Intel Core i3-i7? That would pretty much be my perfect computer. Or does anyone know of anything similar? I am trying to avoid a Toshiba, they used to be my favorite brand (I remember having one that was like five inches thick back in "the day" lol) but the last one I had (and the reason I am shopping) is because the screen started going out soon after purchase, overheating problems, battery problems, random HDD crashes, freezing, etc. has sworn me off the brand unless I find something that is just EXACTLY what I am looking for.
