I have asked a question about making a tablet PC to manufacture. I have decided to be more general. How do I just get a custom motherboard, screen, touch overlay, etc. to make a tablet PC? Where can I get these components designed custom and manufactured for me? How expensive would a prototype be? Thanks.

Is there such thing as Usb tablet for a pc?

I'm looking for a USB or wireless writing tablet that I can use with my PC. It would function exactly the same as the screen on a tablet PC. It would operate under Windows Vista tablet edition. Does such an animal exist? If so, what manufacturers, etc. Is performance the same as a tablet pc?
