The Streak is the latest in a rapidly growing line of smartphone/tablet devices and is already receiving great reviews. Powered by the Android 1.6 OS (with an update to 2.x promised soon), the Streak with it's 5" capacitative multi-touch screen works as a mobile phone, so it's not actually a direct competitor for the Apple iPad or Touch. With it's front-facing 5 megapixel autofocus camera and MicroSD card slot that can handle 32GB the Streak really means business. The Dell Streak has a 16:9 WVGA widescreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, providing more of a letterbox view of web pages, which from our experience works very well. Both the Absolute Radio iAmp and Football toolkit can be downloaded direct on the Dell Streak from the Android Market, so you can listen to your favourite shows and have some football fun with your mates. Subscribing to the Baddiel & Skinner Absolute Radio Podcasts and viewing all of the great content at www.absoluteradio.co.uk is very easy as the Streak performs great as a music, video and photo companion. Our experience of the Dell Streak was very positive. It perhaps feels a little large to hold up to your ear used as a phone, however a plug-in/Bluetooth headset would solve this and allow you to take advantage of the larger screen experience.
