Based on Apple iPad, IDC Predicts Gangbuster Tablet Sales
With the iPad, Apple kicked open a door that numerous competitors are expected to follow it through, sending tablet sales rising, IDC predicted in a new report. Up from 7.6 million units in 2010, IDC expects 398 million tablets to ship in 2014.
