Are the new lenovo tablet pc’s as good as the old ibm ones?

I am looking for a computer for college, and I have always wanted a tablet pc. I know that IBM was a great computer company and that was the computer that I wanted to get but now everything is lenovo not IBM. So the manufactures are all different. What I really need to know is should I buy the lenovo, or start looking for a new computer brand. Not DELL I have onwe of those now and it has never worked well.
