Can I install Windows XP Home with an XP Tablet PC Edition key?

My question is in the title:

I have a Windows XP Tablet PC edition CD Key, but I only have a Windows XP Home CD. Can I use the Tablet PC edition CD key anyways and reformat my computer with XP Home?

I don't care that I have to sacrifice the Tablet functionality.
