I want to create the ideal aviation netbook from an Asus Eee PC 1005 or a T91 touch-screen netbook-sized tablet, running Windows 7 and a Garmin GPS 20x usb GPS sensor. For fun, I ordered the sensor with the Garmin Mobile PC suite, but of course that is of little value in the airplane, but I would be thrilled if Garmin had a Mobile PC suite and subscription for the netbook online project management tools free.

Is there any mapping approved for aircraft navigation from a netbook? Does Garmin or Jeppeson have anything like this? It seems like a natural to me.
I fly some pretty junky aircraft with old and/or inop radios. I am good for a couple of grand for a really tight electronic flight bag. I want GPS moving map with current data and maybe XM Wx and a subscription for that. So far, I like the Asus Eee PC T91 Touch Tablet, with a Garmin Bluetooth GPS 10 WAAS enabled receiver and the XM Wx Bluetooth receiver, loaded with maybe the Anywhere Map PRO on a lifetime subscription for updates. That runs about $790 for the software and lifetime subscription.
