Tablet PC or Macbook Pro?

I am looking to buy a new laptop. Mainly, I will use the laptop to search the web and do school work. I like photography a lot and I use Photoshop CS3 quite a bit. I also use Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing (but not as much).
My two options are:
HP - TouchSmart Laptop with AMD Turion™ X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor ($849.99) - Windows 7 Ultimate
-4 gb ram ddr 2
-320 gb hard drive

OR

Macbook Pro 13 in. ($1199.99) - Snow Leopard
-2gb ram ddr 3
-160 gb hard drive

I know how to use both windows and mac, so there is no problem in that area. I really do like the touch screen capabilities of the HP, and I can get a case to cover the design (not the biggest fan haha). But the pen part of the tablet is a great tool when photo editing.

What I would like to know is...
With these specs, will I be fine running my programs on the tablet and saving nearly $400?
